This is my favorite time of the year - the fourth quarter, when business planning season in real estate is in full swing. Today, I’ll share four crucial steps for creating a powerful business plan:
1. Review your goals. Take a look at both your personal and financial goals, and identify your “big why.” It might sound cliché, but understanding why you want what you desire is essential. Your “why” will serve as your motivation during the inevitable challenges in real estate.
2. Create a plan. Once you’re clear on your goals and your “why,” create a plan by working backward. Determine how many appointments you need with new clients each week to achieve your goals. If you need assistance with this, I have a free tool to help you calculate the number of weekly appointments required.
3. Plan your daily activities. Identify the sources of these appointments, which are your activities. These can include open houses, prospecting, contacting friends, family, past clients, or leveraging paid lead sources. Ensure that these activities are within your control and can be tracked weekly.
4. Have accountability. Enlist accountability through a coach, mentor, friend, or even your family. Sharing your goals and commitment can help you stay on track and set a powerful example for your loved ones.
