Jacqueline Smith started in real estate in 2015 and sold 52 homes her first year in the business as a solo agent. After considering growing her own team, and exploring different team models, she decided to partner with Place in 2017. The partnership allowed her to fast track her growth, and provide better systems and models to her agent partners. Her and her team in Vancouver Washington now close over $165M in annual sales volume, while keeping the quality of the agent and client experience at the forefront.

As we approach the end of the year, it’s a great time to think about how to maintain strong connections with your clients. One of the best ways to stay top of mind is through client events. I want to share some of the events our team organizes annually and offer ideas for you to consider for 2024.

1. Annual coat drive for kids. Our most cherished event is the annual coat drive for kids, now in its seventh year. We partner with a local nonprofit in Clark County for distribution, while our team handles the collection. This event is a fantastic opportunity to involve the entire community and demonstrate the power of kindness and community support.

2. Christmas tree event. Another favorite event is our Christmas tree gathering at a local tree farm. This event invites all our past clients to choose a Christmas tree or a live wreath. It’s a festive occasion complete with family photos, offering a chance to reconnect with clients and their families during the holiday season.

3. Community block party. We also host a block party for our entire community in the Evergreen Heights area of Vancouver. This event features fun activities like a bouncy castle, live music, and games. Held in June, it’s an excellent way for us to engage with clients, friends, and community members.

The key to successful client events is choosing activities that you are passionate about. Whether it’s giving back to the community or celebrating special occasions, events that show appreciation and enable connection with clients are always a hit.

“The key to successful client events is choosing activities that you are passionate about.”

Finally, I invite you to participate in our 7th Annual Coat Drive for Kids. We aim to donate 2,000 coats to children in need in our community. There are multiple ways to contribute, including shipping costs to our office, dropping them off at various locations, or sending a referral. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
