Jacqueline Smith started in real estate in 2015 and sold 52 homes her first year in the business as a solo agent. After considering growing her own team, and exploring different team models, she decided to partner with Place in 2017. The partnership allowed her to fast track her growth, and provide better systems and models to her agent partners. Her and her team in Vancouver Washington now close over $165M in annual sales volume, while keeping the quality of the agent and client experience at the forefront.

If you’ve been feeling invisible online lately, you’re not alone. With so many agents posting the same thing, “Just Listed,” “Under Contract,” “Just Sold,” it can feel impossible to get noticed.

But standing out in real estate isn’t about posting more on social media. It’s about showing up with clarity, consistency, and authenticity so the right people recognize you as the agent they want to work with. Here’s how to do it:

Get Clear on Who You Are and Who You Serve

Before you can stand out, you have to know what you stand for. Take a moment to reflect on the answers to these questions:

● Why do you love real estate? What makes it meaningful to you?

● Who do you love working with: first-time buyers? Upsizing families? Investors?

● What makes your experience different? What do your clients say they love most about working with you?

Your answers will become your brand message and the foundation for everything you post. When you’re clear about what you bring to the table, your audience can recognize it too.

Stay Consistent (and Consistently You)

Once you have clarity, the next step is consistency, but not the kind that burns you out. You don’t need to be on every platform or post every day. You do need to show up regularly as your authentic self, and that means sharing the following:

● Real stories from your business, not just templated posts.

● Photos of you with your clients, behind the scenes, or at closings.

● Your honest thoughts about the market, even if not everyone agrees.

Remember, if you’re for everyone, you’re really for no one. Being yourself creates a magnetic pull that attracts clients who are the best fit, and repels the ones who aren’t.

“If you’re for everyone, you’re really for no one. Stand out by showing up authentically.”

Share the Story Behind the Sale

Everyone posts listings, but very few tell stories. When you share the journey, the challenges, emotions, and joy behind each transaction, you give people a window into what it’s like to work with you.

Tell the story of the first-time buyer who finally got their offer accepted, or the family who found their forever home after months of searching. The client who trusted you to sell the home they’d raised their kids in.

These stories connect emotionally, build trust, and make you memorable long after someone scrolls past your post.

Ready to Stand Out?

You don’t need fancy templates or viral videos to build a strong real estate brand; you just need to show up as you.

So take some time to define your message, commit to showing up consistently, and share more of your real-life moments.

That’s what will attract the right people into your world, the ones who already feel like they know, like, and trust you.

Most agents write business plans that gather dust, not results. Why? Because they miss the four core elements that actually drive income. I’ll show you exactly what those elements are, how they connect to your goals. To get started, check out my post: 4 Elements for a Strong Real Estate Business Plan.
